Handmade Luxury Blanket Made by Willow Students
This one -of-a-kind luxury blanket is a masterpiece of creativity, science, and craftsmanship, made entirely by our talented Willow students. Over 100 hours of work went into its creation, beginning with solar dyeing yarn - an eco-friendly process where students learned the chemistry of dyeing fiber. They then knit or crocheted, carefully stitching together her each square to form a beautifully textured, incredibly soft, and warm heirloom piece. The blanket is made from an alpaca, merino wool, and silk blend yarn. Through this process, students not only created something beautiful but also gained a lifelong skill. Knitting and crochet offer a calming, productive activity - one that connects them to slow fashion and deepens their understanding of the time and care that go into handmade garments. Every inch of this blanket reflects our students' dedication, curiosity, and artistry. Owning this means wrapping yourself in the hardwork and heart of the students - truly a priceless treasure.
